About Frances

Welcome. I’m Frances Chau — Certified Facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie, and someone who has traveled the long road from self-doubt to deep self-love.

I grew up in Vietnam as the middle child of eight, where love was scarce and expectations ran high. From an early age, I carried emotional burdens far too heavy for a child — navigating family trauma, neglect, and the quiet ache of believing I had to earn love by proving my worth.

Those early experiences shaped my inner world, planting seeds of self-doubt that followed me into adulthood, coloring my confidence, my relationships, and my sense of who I was.

Those patterns stayed with me for many years. I moved through life with a quiet ache, seeking love, validation, and a sense of belonging—often in places and relationships that left me feeling unseen and unfulfilled.

And yet, pain became my teacher.

My turning point came when I discovered The Work of Byron Katie. What began as a curious exploration quickly became a lifeline, a way to meet my thoughts with compassion instead of fear, and to question the beliefs that had held me prisoner for so long. Through this practice, I began to experience a truth I had never known: that peace is not found in changing the world around me, but in meeting it, and myself, with understanding.

Today, I live with a deep sense of love for who I am. I have learned that the same mind that can trap us in suffering can also guide us to freedom, if we know how to listen and inquire.

It’s from this place of hard-earned clarity that I now hold space for others. Whether I’m working with someone navigating heartbreak, grief, self-doubt, or simply feeling stuck, my role is not to fix or give advice, but to walk beside them as they discover their own truth.

My Promise to You

My facilitation is rooted in three values that have shaped my life: courage, determination, and love.

  • Courage to face the thoughts we’ve avoided for years.

  • Determination to meet them again and again, until they no longer hold power over us.

  • Love for ourselves, for others, and for the reality of this moment.

No matter where you are in your journey, know this: you are not broken, and you are not alone. Your answers already live within you. Together, we can meet the thoughts that keep you from seeing them, and return to the peace that has always been yours.

With love and gratitude,
Frances
